Perception worked with Marvel Studios and Director Jon Watts to design and animate the end title sequence for Spider-Man: Homecoming. The vision for this sequence was a handmade, tactile aesthetic that feels like it could be a collection of high-school art class projects. Perception’s talented team of artists developed a ton of fun and interesting concepts to tell the “friendly neighborhood Spider-man” story.
Using physical materials like clay, pencil, marker, pastel, and photo collages combined with 3D animation workflows in Cinema4D and After Effects lead to a truly unique pipeline and an incredibly fun process. Everything piece of art that was created was photographed or scanned into the computer in order to preserve (or enhance) that handmade quality. Our final stage was to print out EVERY FRAME of the animation and draw over them with marker for the “marker pops” that give this a final shot of energy. The end result was a high-energy animated title sequence set to the awesome music of The Ramones.

Scholar partnered with Apple Music Japan, we set out to tell two very different but equally magical stories.
The first, “Summer,” showcases the summer festival season’s bright days and vibrant nights in Japan. We follow our lead character as he slides, dives, and crowd surfs his way across the festival scene, sprinkled with authentic details taken from the sites, snacks, and regalia of the season. Both pieces serve as dynamic journeys through life, backed by music and sounds that keep things fun and energizing.
The second, “New Life,” centers around our protagonist and her metamorphosis from student life into her young adulthood as a budding professional. Fueled by her soundtrack, our hero and her world spring to life with vivid colors and fluid cel animation, setting her well on her way into a new stage of life and style.

The BBC2 animated identities are undoubtedly one of the best things in design I’ve seen in years. It reminds me of when MTV used to have different artists contribute to designing the logo and is a system that can adapt to any audience. To the end, FutureDeluxe did a great job ay contributing a few of their own.

”We ultimately worked with three of Normann Copenhagen's iconic products. Firstly, the Circus pouf, a versatile furniture piece with an exclusive Scandinavian design. The Amp lamp, with its simple oval shape and finally, the Form chair - modern and minimalistic, embodying simple and contemporary design.”
